Australian Government: family services and payments

myGov
This Australian Government website and app is a central and secure place to access a range of government services including Centrelink, Medicare, Child Support, the NDIS and the Australian Taxation Office.

Services Australia
This Australian Government agency can give you advice as well as social, health and child support payments and services. It manages other government services like Medicare, Centrelink and Child Support. The website has information about paid parental leave and child care assistance. Australian Government – Department of Education
This Department runs programs and services at all levels of education and is responsible for regulating child care in Australia.

Australian Government – Department of Health, Disability and Ageing
This Department is responsible for medical, pharmaceutical, hospital, disability and aged care services in Australia. The website has information about the National Immunisation Program. You can also see health alerts on this website.

Family Relationships Online
This Australian Government website has information and advice about family relationships. There’s a telephone advice line – 1800 050 321 – and links to Family Relationship Centres in each state and territory.

myfuture
This is a national careers information website, jointly managed by all the state and territory governments. It has extensive information about jobs, careers, education and training to help young people plan for their futures. It includes a section on helping young people choose careers.

My School
This website has information about all Australian primary and secondary schools, plus a directory to help you find schools in your area. It has data on enrolment, funding, school performance, attendance rates and student progress to help you make informed decisions about your child’s education.

StartingBlocks.gov.au
This website has information about different types of early childhood education and care. You can find a preschool or child care service near you and learn how to encourage your child’s learning and development at home.

Workforce Australia
On this Australian Government website you can search and apply for jobs, find apprenticeships and traineeships, and find your local employment services provider. If you receive income support, you can find out about the tasks and activities you need to do to keep getting your payment.
