Video transcript

Sonia: (mother of Layla and Aisha): So we’re going to organise some meals for the week. So: Monday.

Layla: Lasagne.

Sonia: Lasagne and what will – what are we going to have with the lasagne?

Layla: Garlic bread.

Sonia: Yep. We’ll have a garlic bread with the lasagne, and a garden salad.

Layla: Yeah.

Sonia: Garden salad. Tuesday.

Layla: Maybe chicken in the oven?

Sonia: Roasted chicken. OK. So you can write roasted chicken. Now what veggies would you like to have in with the chicken?

Layla: Peas.

Sonia: We have peas and broccoli. We’d do baby corn.

Layla: Yeah, baby.

Sonia: And Thursday I think we’ll make sandwich, the rolls.

Layla: Yeah.

Sonia Yeah. We’ll have rolls.

Layla: Chicken.

Sonia: Just like mixed rolls. We’ll do pasta, so we’ll need some mince. We’re going to get fruit.

Layla: Fruit, yes.

Sonia: And veggies.

Layla: Like corn.

Sonia: So what are we going to get? We’re going to get apples.

Layla: Apples, kiwi fruit.

Sonia: So we’ll do kiwi fruit and what else?

Layla: Do we have bananas?

Sonia: Yeah.

Layla: Mandarin.

Sonia: Okay. We’ll put mandarins for the lunch boxes.

Layla: And I think that should be enough.

Sonia: OK. Lovely.
