Who is the Raising Healthy Minds app for?
Raising Healthy Minds is for anyone interested in child social and emotional wellbeing. This includes care-givers and health professionals. Raising Healthy Minds is intended for an Australian audience.
What is Raising Healthy Minds about?
On this app you will find information to help you support your child’s social and emotional development. It covers topics about child wellbeing, emotions and behaviours and how your family can play a positive role in your child’s development. It also has information about looking after yourself as a parent.
How do I receive personalised content?
When you create your account, the app asks for your personal information like your child’s name and age, postcode and state where you live and whether you identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. This information is only used to tailor the app’s content to you.
Who has developed the Raising Healthy Minds app?
The app is developed by Raising Children Network, funded by the Australian Government, in partnership with The Royal Children’s Hospital, Parenting Research Centre and Murdoch Children’s Research Institute.
How is the Raising Healthy Minds app content developed?
Our content is evidence-based and undergoes a rigorous development process involving experts in the field. Our content is also reviewed regularly by experts to ensure its up to date. A list of subject matter experts can be found on the Contributors page located in the More menu.
I agreed to receive push notifications. What will I receive?
You’ll receive regular tips and reminders to help you support your child’s social and emotional development. These are tailored to your child’s age so the ideas are practical and relevant to your child’s general interests and stage of development.
You can opt out of push notifications at any time by turning them off in your phone’s settings. Even if you turn off push notifications, you’ll still receive the same updates and tips in the app’s Notifications Centre, which you can access by tapping the bell icon in the top-right corner of the home screen. Notifications will remain in the Notifications Centre for a couple of weeks before they're automatically removed.
Why do you need my email address?
You need an email address to create an account. We will also use this address to communicate with you when you need to recover or reset your password. We’ll also update you on any changes to our policies and terms via email.

How does the app treat my personal information?
Raising Children Network has a privacy policy that explains how we treat your personal information in compliance with the Privacy Act 1988. It’s your responsibility to make sure your account information is accurate and that you keep your account safe. How do I update or close my account?
You can update or close your account at any time. You’ll find these options in the My Account page, located in the More menu. When you close your account, it will be archived and you will no longer be able to access it.
