Skills to manage anxiety in your family

Anxiety is more than just being worried – it’s a mental health issue that can affect your wellbeing and quality of life. Both adults and children can suffer from anxiety, and other people’s anxiety can also affect us.

You’re invited to join this free, live webinar on managing anxiety in your family.

In the webinar, child and family psychologist Dr Meredith Rayner will take you through skills for managing anxiety. These skills can improve your child’s wellbeing – and yours too!

You’ll learn skills to help you manage your anxiety – and to help your child manage theirs. These skills include:

  • trusting emotions – accepting that all feelings are OK (but not all behaviours are OK)
  • mindfulness – understanding why it helps and how to do it.

These webinars are suitable for parents and carers of children 0-16 years.

Presented by: Dr Meredith Rayner

Meredith Rayner is a child and family psychologist with many years of experience working with parents, young children and adolescents in public mental health, private clinical practice and schools. She’s currently Director of Care in a large school setting, where she helps children work on their strengths and addresses mental health challenges for children from Foundation to Year 12.

When: Tuesday, 24 August 2021, 7 pm AEST

Duration: 40 minutes, followed by a 20-minute question and answer session
