Housing ACT – Housing for Young People Program
The ACT Government’s Housing for Young People Program (HYPP) aims to improve young people’s access to social housing in the Australian Capital Territory.

New South Wales

NSW Department of Communities and Justice – Link2home
This is a statewide homelessness information and referral telephone service. Phone 1800 152 152, 24 hours, 7 days.

NSW Department of Communities and Justice – We’re here to help with housing
This NSW Government website has information on housing assistance in New South Wales. You can apply for social housing or private rental assistance via the website.

Northern Territory

Anglicare NT – Youth Accommodation Support Service
Youth Accommodation Support Service (YASS) helps young people aged 15-19 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in Katherine, Darwin, Palmerston and  rural areas of the Northern Territory.

Northern Territory Government – Housing, property and land
This Northern Territory Government website is where you can apply for social housing or rent assistance.

ShelterMe
This is a directory of services for homeless people in the Northern Territory. You can search in your region for a range of housing services and other community support services.

Queensland

Queensland Government – Youth Housing and Reintegration Service (YHARS)
YHARS is a Queensland Government program that helps young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness by providing support and access to a range of accommodation options.

Queensland Youth Housing Coalition
This organisation is a peak body advocating for young homeless people and supporting the services that work with them. This website provides information about housing options, from private renting to government housing and the National Rental Affordability scheme.

South Australia

Government of South Australia – Homelessness service provider directory
This page on the SA Government website has links to housing services and support organisations in South Australia. Some of these services are specifically for young people.

SYC
SYC provides information, services and support relating to housing and accommodation for young people in South Australia. One of these services is Trace-A-Place, supporting young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness to get emergency and longer-term accommodation.

Tasmania

AnglicareTas – Youth2Independence
Youth2Independence (Y2I) supports young people aged 16-24 years who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Y2I offers young people a safe and affordable home base, while building their skills for independence and helping them engage with education, training or employment.

Colony 47
This organisation can help with accommodation for young people who are homeless in Tasmania.

Homes Tasmania – Housing Connect
This agency provides assessment, advice, referrals and support to find accommodation. Call 1800 800 588.

Victoria

HousingVic
This website has information about housing options in Victoria. It has links and phone numbers for support in all areas of the state. If you’re at risk of homelessness or family violence, call the free housing crisis line on 1800 825 955, 24 hours, 7 days.

Melbourne City Mission – Family Support
This program works with young people who are newly homeless or at risk of homelessness to help them achieve family reconciliation and improve their engagement with education, employment and their community.

Youth Central – Housing
This webpage has information on youth housing, accommodation options (including sharing a house, renting and buying) and homelessness.

Western Australia

Entrypoint Perth
This is a free assessment and referral service for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in Western Australia. The service helps people find accommodation and support.

Youth Futures – Homelessness services
Youth Futures provides information and support to young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in Perth. The website has information about short-term and long-term housing options.
