This organisation can help young people work out whether they have a problem with drinking.

Australian Government Department of Health, Disability and Ageing – How to quit smoking and vaping
This website has information about the effects of smoking, plus tips to help you stop. You can also call Quitline on 137 848.

Counselling Online
This is a free online webchat counselling service for people using alcohol or other drugs. It’s also for their family and friends. Counselling is available 7 days, 24 hours. You can also get information, support and referrals for more help.

Narcotics Anonymous
This organisation is a society of recovering addicts who meet regularly to help each other stay clean. There are meetings specifically for young people and options for those who can’t attend physical meetings. Phone 1300 652 820.

Noffs Foundation
This organisation provides services for young people who are experiencing trauma related to alcohol or other drugs.

Positive Choices – Drug and Alcohol Information
This website provides information about alcohol and other drugs. It also supports young people who are having difficulties with drugs or alcohol.

Reach Out – Alcohol and other drugs
This webpage has information about the effects of various drugs, advice on how to minimise the risk of taking them, and suggestions for coping with a drug problem.

ACT Government Canberra Health Services – Alcohol and drug services
ACT Health provides information, advice, support and referrals to other services for people who need help with their own or another person’s use of alcohol or other drugs.

Karralika
This organisation helps people deal with alcohol and other drug dependence through treatment programs in residential and community settings. It has programs for children and young people.

Mater Health – Clarence Street programs
Clarence Street is part of the Mater Young Adult Health Centre. This residential program supports young people aged 13-18 years who live in Queensland to safely withdraw from alcohol and other drugs.

Queensland Network of Alcohol and Other Drug Agencies (QNADA) – Service finder
QNADA is the peak body for alcohol and other drug services in Queensland. Use QNADA’s service finder to find local services that specialise in helping young people.

South Australia

Alcohol and Drug Information Service (ADIS) South Australia

Tasmanian Alcohol and Drug Services

DirectLine
DirectLine is the Victorian helpline for people having difficulties with alcohol or other drugs. It offers counselling, information and referrals to other types of support. It’s free and confidential.

This organisation provides information and support to people who need help with their own or another person’s use of alcohol or other drugs.

Youth Support and Advocacy Service
This is a statewide community service that provides a range of services for young people aged 12-21 years who are experiencing problems with alcohol or other drugs.

Western Australia

Alcohol and Drug Support Line
This is a free counselling, information and referral service provided by the Government of Western Australia. If you need help with your own or another person’s use of alcohol or other drugs, phone (08) 9442 5000 (Perth) or 1800 198 024 (outside Perth).

Drug Aware
This program targets young people with messages about drug use that focus on preventing use and associated harm. The website has information about getting help and other topics.

Holyoake WA
This organisation offers counselling and education services for young people experiencing difficulties with alcohol or other drugs in Western Australia.
