Teaching kids about media

Kids can learn from you about how to use media safely. Media is things like TV, movies, videos, video games, social media and apps.

Make rules together about using media. Make the rules right for ages.

No to sharing mean, rude and scary things

Some people put mean, rude and scary things online. Sharing mean and rude comments or photos is not OK.

Drag rude and mean things into the trash or delete them.

Privacy and blocking bullies

Don’t friend or chat to people you don’t know, even if they say they know you.

Use privacy settings.

Block bullies. Don’t respond. Talk to someone you trust.
