Feed kids healthy food

Kids need to eat a lot of different healthy foods like vegetables, fruits, cereals and grains, meat and dairy.

Keep kids away from food with a lot of fat, sugar and salt – like chips, lollies, chocolate, cakes, burgers and fizzy drinks. These are foods for special occasions or treats.

Make a plan to have money for healthy food. You can get help with this.

Kids need healthy food every day

Eat healthy meals together as a family.

Pack healthy food and a water bottle for kids.

Kids can take healthy food when they stay with others.

Buy healthy food

Make a healthy shopping list each week. Look for healthy food on special.

Shop for healthy food on pay day. You can shop for more healthy food next week if you need to.
