Frank Oberklaid

Professor Frank Oberklaid is a board director of Raising Children Network.

Frank is Professor of Paediatrics at the University of Melbourne, and a paediatrician at the Centre for Community Child Health at the Royal Children's Hospital, one of the two Raising Children Network member organisations.

In his previous role as Director of the Centre for Community Child Health, Frank was responsible for a large part of the daily operation of Raising Children Network. He has also contributed content to the website related to early childhood health and development.

Frank has received a number of prestigious career awards, including a Medal in the Order of Australia in 1988, a Centenary Medal from the Commonwealth of Australia in 2003, the John Sands Medal from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2003, and the Chairman’s Medal from the Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne in 2003.
