The Australian Children's Music Foundation brings Australian children together through the magic of music.

By motivating children to listen to, create and participate in music, the Australian Children’s Music Foundation (ACMF) helps develop their creativity and imagination, enrich their lives and foster a lifelong love of music.

Baby Karaoke
The ACMF has generously supported the Raising Children Network website by helping to produce and record our interactive Baby Karaoke tool. Baby Karaoke allows parents to teach their children a wide range of well-known nursery rhymes online.

The ACMF is involved in many music programs for disadvantaged and indigenous children. The Foundation aims to provide them with a creative outlet which develops their imagination, thinking and self-discipline skills.

ACMF music initiatives include:

  • Music for disadvantaged youths. The ACMF provides tuition and musical instruments to juvenile justice centres in New South Wales, Queensland and the ACT. With increased funding, these programs can continue and reach children in other centres.
  • Musical instruments recycling program. This program encourages the public to donate instruments they no longer use to the ACMF. The instruments are then distributed to needy schools and youth centres.
  • Educational resources for Australian children. School age children remember the lyrics to their favourite tunes and learning is far easier when done through music. The ACMF is building a catalogue of music for preschool and early primary school children, as well as an interactive DVD teaching musical times tables.

For more information about these and other ACMF initiatives, or to donate, visit the Australian Children’s Music Foundation website.
