Australian Government-funded parenting website, raisingchildren.net.au, has built a new home for its collection of more than 450 Languages other than English resources, which are now available via one free easy-access web page.

The web page was designed to bring together in one place all of the site’s Languages other than English resources that include free articles, videos and picture guides. It can be used by families and professionals working with families and includes topics such as daily care, nutrition, sleep, child disability and more.

“With more than 23% of Australians* speaking a language other than English it is important that multilingual parenting resources are readily available and come from a trusted source,” said raisingchildren.net.au Executive Director Associate Professor Julie Green.

“We hope these evidence-based resources help families navigating through the varied experiences of parenting.”

Languages supported on the site include; Arabic, Auslan, Burmese, Cantonese, Dari, Dinka, Hakha Chin, Hindi, Indonesian, Korean, Mandarin, Nuer, Persian, Simplified Chinese, Sudanese Arabic, Swahili, Tamil, Turkish and Vietnamese.

Parents, carers and professionals working with children can go to the new web page at raisingchildren.net.au/translated.
