My girl has always been called 'Sweetie', so much so that even when she's in trouble that's what gets yelled out and not her real name! My boy gets called 'Piggy-Wig' because since day one he's always made snorting, oinking-like noises and sounded like a pig. I'd call him 'Little Piggy' and eventually it became Piggy-Wig because of the Edward Lear rhyme ('And there in the wood, a piggy-wig stood, with a ring at the end of his nose, his nose his nose, with a ring at the end of his nose').

| I call both my children 'darling' a lot, because they are my darlings, and that is what my late mother used to call me.

| Oh, and on my blog, my 4 year old son has the pseudonym 'Ball Fiend' because he LOVES balls and my 13 month old daughter is 'Thumper', because when I was pregnant, her kicks were serious thumps! When she was newborn, I called her 'button' because she was as cute as a button. I call her 'anaconda' now because when she eats, she opens her mouth REALLY wide.
