Hi, my son does ABA, and I know this sounds like a strange one, but I got a great therapist by advertising on the Gumtree website. Its free, and I got about 8 replies ! Some of them were experienced. Give it a try, and its really easy, you need not leave your computer chair !

hi, if u want, u can sponsor someone from overseas if u cannot find one. they will work harder than some people here in australia

Hi Toniasmum, welcome to the forum. If you scroll down the list a little further you will see a forum for parents of children with ASD. There was a person who asked the same question a few weeks ago so you might be able to see the responses there to help you out.

Plus - the parents there are great & they will give you heaps of support

Looking for ABA Therapists

Hi all

Just wondering if anyone knows of ways I can find an ABA therapist for home based therapy. I have tried ABIA and could not find any therapists in the south East of Melbourne who are still working as therapists. I have a 2.5 year old son with Autism who begins his therapy in about a months time and though i trained to become a therapist myself, still need at least 1 more person to join our team. I have also tried placing ads at universities but not much luck

Just wondering if there are any other avenues anyone can suggest.
