Tim Olds is a Professor in Health Sciences at the University of South Australia. He holds PhDs in French and Exercise Science. He has expertise in mathematical modeling; the evolution of fitness, fatness, food intake and physical activity in children; and anthropometry.
Tim’s recent work has been in the links between how people use their time (including physical activity, screen time, sleep, social and cognitive engagement) and their physical and mental health. He is author of the MARCA use of time software and LifeSize anthropometry software.
Tim was Project Director for the 2007 National Children’s Nutrition and Physical Activity Survey. He has 125 refereed publications and currently holds six national competitive grants. Tim has been a keynote speaker at conferences in Australia, China, Denmark, Fiji, New Zealand, Norway, South Korea and Sweden.
