Talaris Institute works to improve the social, emotional and cognitive development of children from the prenatal period to age five, by providing parents with tools to effectively raise their children.
Recognising that a substantial gap exists between what scientists know and what parents practise, Talaris has adopted a programmatic approach to translate scientific knowledge into tools for parents and other caregivers.
At the core of all Talaris’s work is the mission of advancing knowledge of early childhood learning and the importance of parenting. The Institute believes it all begins with providing parents, caregivers and parenting professionals with information they can trust, understand and use in their daily interaction with children.
The Institute’s goal is for parents and caregivers to understand that:
Talaris was founded in 2000, and is located in the US.
Talaris supports the Raising Children Network in providing useful, practical information to parents including an easy-to-use guide to child development from birth to five years of age.
