PANDA is a Victorian-based self-help support, information and referral service for anyone affected by postnatal depression (PND), antenatal depression or postnatal psychosis, or anyone who wants more information about these conditions.

PANDA's staff and volunteers are managed by a Committee of Management, many of whom have experienced PND. Volunteers are trained as Telephone Support Workers for the telephone helpline.

PANDA has a Victoria-wide database of services that are known to be sensitive to postnatal and antenatal depression, including general practitioners, psychiatrists, counsellors, psychologists and support groups.

PANDA produces and distributes accurate information to health professionals and the wider community, to ensure that those affected by mood changes related to childbirth receive appropriate help as early as possible.

The PANDA support line is available nationally Monday to Friday, 9 am to 7 pm (AEST) on 1300 726 306.

PANDA and the Raising Children Network

PANDA has produced a series of user-friendly fact sheets for women who may be experiencing PND and their partners. RCN has been kindly granted permission to reproduce five of the fact sheets on the Raising Children website.
