Louise is a lecturer in the Melbourne Graduate School of Education and is coordinator of the Master of Education (Language Intervention and Hearing Impairment) course at the University of Melbourne.
Louise's teaching focuses on spoken language and literacy assessment, intervention, and program evaluation. She also teaches in the Master of Teaching (Primary & Early Childhood) in the areas of language and literacy.
Her research interests include speech production, speech perception and spoken language intervention, pragmatic skill development, and effective teacher practice. She has presented her research nationally and internationally in peer-reviewed journals and at conferences.
In addition to her work at the University, Louise reviews for a number of international journals and has presented a number of professional development training programs for classroom teachers, teachers of the deaf, speech pathologists and educational audiologists working in inclusive settings in Victoria, New South Wales, Western Australia and Queensland.
