Liz Weir has previously worked as a primary teacher, PE/sport and health lecturer and for the Department of Education and Early Childhood (DEECD) in Student Wellbeing. Her areas of expertise are in health education, student wellbeing and safe and supportive school environments. For over 10 years, Liz worked for the DEECD in Melbourne in the Drug and Alcohol Team specialising in student engagement, parent education and resource development. Liz has a passion for student wellbeing, believing teachers have an important role to play in a young person’s life. She believes teachers have an amazing ability to create safe and supportive environments for all students.
