Lia Castorina is an educational and developmental psychologist whose research interests include social skills development in autism spectrum disorder (ASD). She is also interested in sibling relationships. Lia’s Masters research focused on designing and evaluating a social skills training intervention program for children with ASD. Run through RMIT University in Melbourne, this program continued for several years.
Lia worked as a school psychologist in the Victorian state school system before joining Amaze (Autism Victoria). She also had a brief stint with the National Autistic Society in London. She currently manages the Family Counselling Service and the Victorian Autism Advisor Program, which administers the Federal Government’s Helping Children with Autism (HCWA) package for children with ASD aged 0-6 years.
