Kate Simpson is a medical and science graduate of the University of Queensland and a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (Paediatrics, 2004). She completed a PhD at the University of Melbourne in 2010, looking at the pathogenesis and treatment of paediatric pulmonary hypertension. She has a Graduate Certificate of Paediatric Sleep Science from the University of Western Australia.
Kate commenced clinical practice in sleep medicine in 2008 at The Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne and has completed her paediatric sleep medicine accreditation.
Kate has ongoing clinical and teaching responsibilities at The Royal Children’s Hospital Sleep Clinic, co-runs regular workshops for psychologists in treating paediatric behavioural sleep problems and is an honorary consultant at Melbourne Children’s Sleep Centre, Monash Medical Centre.
Kate is interested in all aspects of paediatric sleep medicine, including the assessment and management of medically related and behavioural sleep problems.
