Josephine is an accredited dietitian who works across a wide range of services in clinical and community settings. She has a keen interest in eating behaviour and the relationship between food, mood and behaviour. Jo specialises in eating disorders, working with adolescents and adults in the eating disorder unit at the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
Jo has worked with teachers at primary and secondary level on prevention and early intervention of eating disorders. She also developed the Healthy Hoops Clinic in conjunction with Basketball Victoria – a program for school-aged children that focuses on the need for adequate nutrition, especially when playing sport. Jo also presented at the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners conference on managing obesity.
Jo has a strong passion to educate people towards a non-dieting approach to a healthy lifestyle, improved body image and self-acceptance.
