John Condon is Professor of Psychiatry in the Faculty of Health Science at Flinders University of South Australia.

Over the past 20 years, he has been chief investigator on investigations of the determinants of antenatal and postnatal attachment; adolescents’ idealised attitudes to pregnancy and parenthood; the impact of the transition to fatherhood on male mental health; adolescent pregnancy prevention through interventions targeting males and (currently) the health implications of the transition to grandparenthood.

He is a past president of the Australian Society for Psychosomatic Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and of the Australasian Marce Society.
