Jeff is the Manager of the Victorian Poisons Information Centre (VPIC). He is an experienced hospital pharmacist, having worked in many settings from small rural hospitals to tertiary institutions, both in Victoria and interstate. Jeff
was Director of Pharmacy at Fairfield Hospital from 1988 until 1996, and came to VPIC in 2002 after four years as a senior editor at Therapeutic Guidelines Ltd.
VPIC (phone 13 11 26) is a seven days a week, 24 hours a day service for members of the public and health professionals wanting first aid and treatment advice for poisonings, suspected poisonings, bites and stings, mistakes with medicines etc. As Manager of VPIC, Jeff is responsible for the Centre's day-to-day operations, planning and development, staff training and education, liaison with other relevant specialists and organisations, clinical guideline development, quality assurance and research activities.
