This section of the Commission’s website is about social justice issues for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island people.

Australian Government Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs ( FaHCSIA )
This is the Australian Government department responsible for Indigenous Affairs. The website has information about programs to help Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island people, such as Closing the Gap. It also lists contact details for Indigenous Coordination Centres throughout the country.

This website shares information about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health. It’s a ‘one-stop info-shop’ for people interested in improving the health and wellbeing of Indigenous Australians.

This Australian Government website celebrates the achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. It keeps Indigenous Australians informed about government services and programs. The website includes sections on health, schooling and early childhood.

National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (NACCHO)   
This is the national peak body representing Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services (ACCHS) throughout Australia. These services deliver holistic, comprehensive and culturally appropriate health care to the communities that control them. 

Office for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health (OATSI)
This website is part of the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing. It has information about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health programs.

Secretariat of National Aboriginal and Islander Child Care (SNAICC)    
SNAICC is the national body for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Services. The website has extensive resources as well as a national services directory.
