Associate Professor Leah Bromfield is the Deputy of the Australian Centre for Child Protection at the University of South Australia. Prior to this she was a Senior Research Fellow and Manager of the National Child Protection Clearinghouse at the Australian Institute of Family Studies.
Leah’s PhD investigated chronic child maltreatment and cumulative harm in statutory child protection services in Victoria. Other areas of her expertise include Australian national and international comparisons of child protection systems and translation of research into practice.
Dr Bromfield has a strong interest in the reform of the child and family welfare system and has worked closely with Commonwealth and State and Territory governments to this end.
