Dr Donna Berthelsen

Dr Donna Berthelsen is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Early Childhood at QUT. She has professional qualifications in teaching and psychology. She has taught in primary and special education settings, as well as in services providing child and family counselling. Donna's current research focuses on children's developmental experiences in early childhood education programs, including research with children with additional needs. She is a member of the research consortium designing the national research project, Growing Up in Australia: The Longitudinal Study of Australian Children (LSAC). The study explores family and social influences on children's development and well-being. In LSAC, Donna is the leader of the Education Measurement Design Team and a member of the Child Care Measurement Design Team. Donna is also engaged in early childhood programs, including child care.
