Debbie James has worked in speech pathology for nearly 30 years, as a clinician, researcher, lecturer and consultant in the public and private sectors. She has specialised in the management of children with speech and launguage difficulties and has held positions at base grade and senior levels within the education, health, disability and university sectors. Her research focus is the measurement of speech and language skills, having developed measurement tools and associated normative data.
Debbie currently holds a senior lecturing position in the Department of Speech Pathology and Audioilogy at Flinders University. Also, she is Director of Novita Children's Services (formerly Crippled Children's Association of SA Inc.).
