In this video, parents share their experiences of telling other people about their children’s autism spectrum disorder (ASD) diagnoses. They talk about how people reacted, including hurtful and uninformed reactions. They say that you shouldn’t feel pressured to discuss the diagnosis with others if you don’t want to.

Parents refer to PDD-NOS in this video. This diagnosis has been replaced with a single diagnosis of ASD.
