Holidays can be a challenging time for families of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). In this short video, parents talk about strategies they use to cut down on their children’s anxieties. They start talking about the holiday early on, explain things in detail and keep reassuring their child. Some parents use visual strategies and Social Stories™ to help children get ready, and to keep them relaxed on the trip.
