Children with ASD: getting a diagnosis

In this podcast, parents talk about getting a diagnosis for a child with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Getting a diagnosis can take time – you might need to see several professionals before your child is diagnosed. But these parents say getting in early is important. If you know your child needs help, you can start early intervention while you wait for the diagnosis.

Feelings of depression, anxiety, frustration and anger are common after a diagnosis. These parents explain how they found support.
