Ms Angela Morcos undertook her teacher training for children aged 0-8 years at Macquarie University's Institute of Early Childhood. After graduating, she gained the majority of her teaching experience in long day care settings, as well as taking on centre director roles. Angela has recently completed her Master of Education (Early Childhood) at Monash University, through a combination of coursework and a minor thesis. Her thesis is titled Australian Early Childhood Policy and the Education and Care Dichotomy.
In her current position, Angela works with colleagues from different disciplines in providing advice to state and federal government and non-government agencies on best practices in early childhood education and care. Her interests lie in children's rights and social justice, as well as the impact of the policy and regulatory frames around early childhood services.
