Dr Amanda Third is Senior Lecturer in the School of Humanities and Languages, and a member of the Centre for Cultural Research at the University of Western Sydney.
Amanda has a research interest in young people’s everyday use of online and networked technologies and the potential for new technologies to support young people’s wellbeing. She has conducted several large externally funded projects with organisations using technology to support young people, and is currently the Chief Investigator on an ARC Industry Linkage project entitled Young People, Technology and Wellbeing Research Facility.
Amanda has been a member of the Technology and Wellbeing Roundtable since 2008. In 2009, she was awarded the Murdoch University Medal for Early Career Research Achievement.
